Book reviews!

Hello! After such a long time, I'm back! Yep, computer problems again. But I'm back and posting!
When I was on my 'break', I read some new and interesting books, most of them from my local library, 'My Library', in Jeddah. They have some very exciting books so if you live in Jeddah, it's worth planning a trip there! Anyways, I've been changing my reading level recently. For some strange reason, I've been starting to dislike Enid Blyton and been focusing on different books, and today I am going to review some of those books. (I just couldn't decide which one so I decided to make it a combination post)

Out of My Mind

Out of My Mind is an amazing book focusing on our daily lives and how we treat the people around us. Melody, aged 11, is a girl gifted with exceptional brains but cannot walk and talk - and her muscles aren't amazing either, so she can't write, chew, or even grip something. This novel is given a 4.9/5 from me, because its charming storytelling weaves through my heart and back.

The Girl who Drank the Moon

I love books with a sort of sad mysterious setting in them. Especially ones revolving around people who aren't who they seem. This book is fantastic as it zips through different perspectives; Luna's, Antain's, Xan's - it is just incredibly mysterious and such a satisfying book to read as you turn the pages.

The Tail of Emily Windsnap

I know mermaids are childish but as soon as I saw this book, I had a feeling that it wouldn't be as kiddish as most mermaid stories. When I opened the cover, I was right. The characters of Mr. Beeston, Mandy, Shona, not to mention Emily herself - have personality and flavor which produces the siren-like allure of mermaids themselves.

Olivia's Enchanted Summer

What can happen when someone falls prey to an Internet scam? This enchanting story about girls walking on tightropes and family secrets gives way to lots of questions which get answered as you progress forward in the story. Who is Evie? Who is that mysterious man chasing them? And most importantly, who is Alfie? It's like putting a jigsaw puzzle together but you don't have all the pieces, and you are given more as you read on.

I hope you try out these amazing books! Remember to comment if you have.
