Here are some of the places I recommend for kids: Nat Geo Kids This is a wonderful website teaching kids a LOT of things. Also check out it's YouTube channel, which is pretty much same as the website. Wild Explorers The section of the Animal Jam channel "Wild Explorers" is really something to watch. A girl teaches you fun science experiments, cool crafts, and about animals. Sometimes she brings wild animals into her show. Note: There is only a SECTION of the channel for "Wild Explorers". The rest is for Animal Jam. Sorry this post was mainly reviews but I just wanted to recommend these places to you!
Hi! Some of you may remember my admittedly raging review about Serafina and the Black Cloak. It was a bit furious, I know. But I picked up the sequel, just to see if the writing would get better. I mean, I reasoned the author must be a newbie. Maybe he would improve in his next book. And Serafina and the Twisted Staff doesn't disappoint. She had actual development and a journey, and I really loved that. I wish the Twisted Staff had more story, because it's actually in the title. It just seemed to be...
Hi! Sorry for throwing out flat posts for so long, I don't have a lot of time on my hands with this pandemic. I read a book today called Secrets of a Sun King by Emma Carroll , and I decided if I have a topic, I should write something worthy of my blog. Secrets of a Sun King is a good book. Take note of my use of adjectives here. A good book. Good. Let's start with the good things. The book is gold with imagery. The deserts with sand that shimmers in the sunlight, the grey, wet streets of London, the comforting warmth of Lil's grandfather's house. I liked the plot twist at the end, even though it was a bit confusing. I had to read the passage over a few times to really understand what was happening. When I was reading this book, I felt as if it had been weaved with echoes from different sources, making it solid. It was all familiar and new at the same time, if that makes sense. But everything has shortcomings, and there are some places where this book needs more time...
