Song of the Sea (poem), I'll Keep Going (poem)

Sorry for not posting here for about a month! I have two poems, and I decided to write 'em up here, because I would, right? Anyways, here you go.. Song of The Sea The crashing waves The rumbling ocean The tide comes in Song of the sea How beautiful it might be Like a bird chirping in the breeze Or the rustling leaves The humming of the ocean blue Shining, glittering and sparkling too Song of the sea Like a buzzing bee Or a shaking tree Like raindrops splattering on the ground Music like this is nowhere else to be found Song of the sea I'll Keep Going I'll keep going on I will never stop Oh, just keep going, just keep going, never stop Go straight for what you want Be sure of yourself Never doubt what you can do

Jannah Jewels is back

I fi-nal-ly got every book of Jannah Jewels. If you ever purchase any of the last five books, you will see my testimonial in it as follows:"I like how you combine adventure and Islamic concepts to make us readers want to know more and more about the series. I am addicted to Jannah Jewels and I can't wait to find out when and how they will get the artifact in America!" Seriously, I am sooooo sad that this fabulously intruiging book series is finished, because I am a lifelong fan of these books. Jannah πŸ’Ž is my kind of series, so filled with adventure and action and it is kinda like an action movie. (Speaking of which, it would be fan-tastic if it was  a movie. It would be top of my list.) The first books are appropriate for small children but the last six books MIGHT be a little to much for them. I love the last six books though. So, let's give three cheers for Jannah Jewels!

Spelling Bee!

I went to my spelling bee on Saturday. There were four levels, and I was in the third level. I was with four more competitors, so there was a total of five competitors in the level. They had a jar, in which there were folded-up slips of paper, with spellings on them. You had to pick one, give it to the conductor, she was going to tell you the word, and you had to spell it. I got v-e-h-i-c-l-e, g-r-a-c-i-o-u-s, and about ten others. I spelled them all correctly. Finally they were making announcements about who won from each level. I couldn't believe my ears when my name came up, I was so astonished. I won a headband, and a beautifully carved candle. This is one spelling bee that I'm never going  to forget.

Poetry tips

I love poems, and have been writing them from when I was seven or six (I think). If you put me in a room with just my paper and pencil, a bed, some food and water, I could come out of that room in a hour with a poem of, say, two or three hundred words. Here are my tips for writing fabulous poetry: πŸŒΊπŸ’– -Go on swings, say, or ride a horse, for the feeling of speed, flight, or basically the experience of it. For slow motion, you could watch a snail, a video in slow motion, or something like it. -Choose your experiences, somehow put them into a poem. Here's an example: Running For the flight I fight Against the wind My heart Had only a start At it's beat Before I started my feet -If you're stuck with rhyming, make a list of words according to your subject. Then, rhyme the words in the list, so you have pairs. If you can't find matches for some words, introduce new words in the list with thinking  how you will use the new words in your poem, otherwise you ...

I'm back!

Okay, I know you are all longing to scream in my face right now that my last post was over a month ago! Sorry, but I was busy and well, BARELY got onto the laptop  on Feburary. I have a lot of things to post, but I won't be as regular as before. Sorry!, again. Anyway, keep a lookout for a website review and more poetry!

We Stand United (poem)

We are mixed up Muddled up Fighting over who's best Come on now; let's put our unity to the test It's the only way we can stand in these difficult times Let's exchange brass pennies for gold dimes We must be fair of our ration Regardless of country or nation We've got 195 different nationalities Every one has different qualities So that's why we need to blend together So we don't topple over forever We have enough trouble that we've made Now let's have the bricks of unity laid Now united we stand Regardless of our land

Dreaming can take you anywhere (poem)

I want to go where my eyes can't see I want to go where my ears can't hear I want to go where my tongue can't taste I want to go where my hands can't feel I want to go where my nose can't smell I want to go in the place I can only dream of I want to go where my brain can only imagine
