Hi! Today I'm reviewing one of my favorite books (and will review the rest in the series)! I actually kind of thank Covid-19 for happening, because if it hadn't then Audible would have never put out a free collection of books for kids, and I never would have seen the cover and go, "I'm listening to this." So, um, thank you, Covid-19. Anyway...                                                                 *royal trumpet screeches* The Green Ember is probably one of my favorite books to date. It has awesome epic fights, awesome epic plot twists, and awesome epic sibling relationships. (Sorry, Frozen.) City Spies: Golden Gate - book review

 wow this really has turned into a book review blog hasn't it? lol idk what else to say Anyway, this book went from pretty safe espionage for middle grade to a full blown thriller in like, five chapters. Character dynamics were explored, and done well so - I think I just need more of Brooklyn and Rio + Sydney and Kat. Shining more light on Sydney's character was a good move. Her...angsty problems were perfectly believable. On a lighter note, I'd decided before reading this that Sydney had a skateboard and I WAS RIGHTTTTTTT  I think I just need more Rio? I mean he's the only character whose background yet hasn't been shed light on. Hopefully it will be done in the next book. I also kind of wanted Charlotte to make an appearance but she wasn't even mentioned. I wanted a bit more of Kinlock Abbey too. A Winter's Evening.......

I was just walking recently (Jeddah has gotten a chilling weather recently) and wind was whooshing onto me. I decided that why not write a short story about it? It's winter, so it fits perfectly! A WINTER'S EVENING............ _________________________________________________________________________________ "Rumaysa, can you please give this envelope to Mrs. Hope?" called my mother. "Okay!" I replied, full of enthusiasm for this. I knew that walking in the cold, harsh  winds would be freezing, but I hadn't been out for a bit of a while and actually wanted to taste the icy winds. I fetched the envelope, slipped my feet into my boots and decided to not wear my jacket, since I thought that it wouldn't be that cold outside. I opened the door and shut it behind me, slowly climbing down the stairs that were in the small apartment which had only four houses. I opened the door, and closed it quietly.
